My Brain Hurts!

I just did a stint writing mechanics for the Future Player's Companion that lasted about five hours. My butt is so numb from sitting here that I can hardly feel it. The work came out to about 3,000 words of material, most of that mechanics-related, which is saying a lot. I'm glad I'm more or less done with it, though, because it's been hanging over my head like the Sword of Damocles since my son was born.

I still have a little bit of work to do on FPC3, but that should go pretty quickly if I can get the inspiration flowing. I'd like to get back to the WFRP project ASAP, but I don't want anything else distracting me from it (except for GenCon) in August/September.

On a different note, I hear that the Thieves' World Player's Manual will be in stores very soon. Cool!

Thursday's Game -- Cancelled

Well, I suffered from major cranial flatulence. When I scheduled the next episode of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying game that I'm running, I failed to consider that I'd already reserved the evening of July 28th for a Megadeth concert. In response, the game has been pushed back a week, to August 4th.

I suppose that's probably for the best, since I'm trying to finish up my contribution to the third volume of the Future Player's Companion.

Enough whining. Off to bed with me.

What this blog is, was, and will never be...

I originally established this blog with the intention of using it as a dev journal: a place where I would write about the projects I'm working on.

The only problem with that is that I'm technically under NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) with these projects, so I'm not really at liberty to post such information anywhere, even if no one ever sees it. I'm much better off writing that stuff "off-camera," and using this place for something else.

So, I'm going to use it for a sort of mental vomitorium, though with a gamer's bent. I can talk about games I'm playing, games I'm running, new products I've picked up, etc.

Whether or not I make it public is a different story all together.

So that's that. I have to get moving, but I'm sure I'll have more to write later.
